Dr. Chris Nahm
B.Sc(Med) MBBS(Hons) PhD FRACS
Dr. Chris Nahm is a highly qualified and experienced surgeon who has gained the trust of many patients.
Dr. Chris Nahm graduated medical school with honours from the University of New South Wales and obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. As the inaugural Harris Van Beek Pancreatic Cancer Research Scholar, he completed a PhD in pancreatic cancer research at the Kolling Institute. Ranking 1st in the nationwide Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery (ANZHPBA) Fellowship match, he undertook a clinical fellowship in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery at Westmead Hospital. He then moved to the United Kingdom to undertake a senior clinical fellowship in complex hepatobiliary and transplant surgery at St. James's University Hospital in Leeds. Dr. Chris Nahm has authored over 70 publications in his field, written book chapters and delivered numerous presentations worldwide. He serves on the Editorial Board of HPB, the Official Journal of the International Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association. He is Co-Director of the Masters of Surgery program and the Doctorate of Clinical Surgery program at The University of Sydney. He is a member of the NSW Health Agency for Clinical Innovation Surgical Services Taskforce. He is the author of the COSA guidelines for the surgical management of neuroendocrine tumours. He is the 2022 recipient of the Westmead Association Tracey Robinson Excellence in Teaching Medal in Surgery.

Dr. Nahm co-leads the Westmead Pancreatic Cancer Research Group.
Dr. Nahm co-leads a research program at Westmead Hospital dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer. His research focusses on tailoring the right treatment strategy to the right patient, and improving post-operative recovery from pancreatic cancer surgery. Dr. Nahm has won numerous awards and prizes at international level for his work, and now supervises research students at the University of Sydney.
